The Louisiana Oyster Task Force was created by the 1988 Louisiana Legislature
with the directive to strengthen the oyster industry. Responsibilities
follow.
Expand current markets and develop new markets.
Represent interests of industry before federal and state administrative
and legislative bodies.
Contract for legal services to represent interests of the industry in
judicial, administrative, and legislative proceedings.
Perform any acts deemed necessary and proper to carry out the legislated
directive.
